FBN Renewal Publication Riverside County

Fictitious Business Name registrations in California expire five years after filing. To keep your FBN active, you must file a renewal with the Riverside County Clerk-Recorder and publish it again under California Business and Professions Code §17920. If the information on your FBN has not changed, renewal does not require a new publication unless there is a gap in registration.

FBN Renewal Facts

  • Renewal cost — $66 for 4 weekly publications plus Proof of Publication
  • File renewal within 40 days before the expiration date to avoid re-publication
  • If the FBN has lapsed or the information changed, publication is required
  • Proof of Publication must be filed with the county within 30 days of final run
